  • qualifications, licences and professional experience;
  • records of communications with you;
  • additional recruitment information where necessary later in the process.

Please do not provide information that is not relevant to your application.

Pre-contractual steps
Processing is necessary in order to take steps at your request before potentially entering into an employment or engagement contract.

The initial website application form is not intended to request sensitive personal information.

At a later stage, it may be necessary to process limited special category information where relevant and lawful, for example information relating to health where needed for workplace adjustments or legal employment requirements.

Where such information is required, we will process it only where an appropriate legal condition applies.

6. Who may receive recruitment information?

Recruitment information may be accessed by personnel who reasonably need it for recruitment, management or administration.

We do not sell recruitment information.

7. References and verification

If your application progresses, we may request references or verify information relevant to your suitability for the role.

Where practical, we will tell you before contacting referees or carrying out significant checks.

8. How long we keep recruitment information

If your application is unsuccessful or does not progress, we will normally retain relevant recruitment records for up to 6 months after the recruitment decision or the end of the relevant recruitment process.

If you specifically agree that we may retain your information for future opportunities, we may retain it for up to 12 months, after which we may contact you for renewed permission or delete the information.

If you become employed or engaged by I&E Haulage, relevant recruitment information may become part of your personnel record and be retained under our employment-record retention arrangements.

Information may be retained for longer where necessary to comply with a legal requirement or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

9. International processing

Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom.

Where international processing occurs, we take appropriate steps to ensure that personal information is protected in accordance with applicable UK data protection law.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect recruitment information against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure.

12. Automated decisions

We do not use the information submitted through our website recruitment form to make recruitment decisions based solely on automated processing.

Recruitment decisions involve human assessment.

13. Providing information

You are not obliged to submit an application through the website.

However, if you choose to apply, certain information is necessary for us to assess and respond to your application.

Fields marked as required in the application form must be completed before the form can be submitted.

14. Future vacancies

Where no suitable vacancy is currently available, you may register your interest in future opportunities.

If we intend to retain your application specifically for future recruitment beyond our normal recruitment period, we will rely on an appropriate lawful basis and, where required, ask for your agreement.
